Landscape Architecture - what is it all about?

Landscape architecture is a specialized design profession that deals with the design and organization of land and the  plant species. It deals with the designing of Public spaces, Street Medians and verge, Plazas, Playgrounds, beach front and other areas where landscape blends with the environment and compliments with the architecture. Landscape architecture is as complex as you would imagine. It is not only about plants, its about the environment. the connectivity of spaces within the public realm, interconnection with the public transport system. Although it deals with the outdoor space, boundaries can be set up like the vertical and the horizontal. Unlike architecture, spaces can be divided by walls, floors and ceilings.
